Syria has become the most dangerous place in the world for journalists. Since the beginning of the Syrian conflict, no less than 65 journalists have been killed and 30 others from around the world have been kidnapped. All sides of the conflict have detained journalists and reporters and tried to prevent them from telling the world about the suffering of the Syrian people.

The Samir Kassir Foundation is proud to host an intimate discussion with international reporters who have been kidnapped. These journalists have shown courage and determination in the face of life-threatening risks and enormous psychological pressure. Today, they are back in the field in many of the world's hot spots to assert their belief in freedom of information.
