THE ASSASSINATION OF OMAR RAJEH
Omar Rajeh, Hazem Saghieh
Lebanon
Saturday 20 June 2009, 9:00 pm
The Roman Baths, Beirut Downtown
A project on creating a dance show about assassinations, particularly those of Samir Kassir and Gebran Tueni. This project is supposed to tour Europe and will be played in its entirety in Beirut in October 2009.
However, only 30 minutes of the show will be ready at the time of the Beirut Spring Festival.
It is for this reason that Omar Rajeh suggested to hold a conference on the subject of the relation between art and societies, in particular the Lebanese society. The conference of Hazem Saghieh will be held before the 35-minute show, and Omar Rajeh will join him for an open discussion with the public.
