LALALA GERSHWIN
José Montalvo, Dominique Hervieu
France / Creation 2010
A choreographed contemporary African hip hop dance for seven dancers and live video projection.
Sunday 3 June 2012, 9:00 pm
Al Madina Theatre, Hamra
After Porgy and Bess and Good morning, Mr. Gershwin, the two artists invite you to discover a new show that will appeal to everyone. With Lalala Gershwin, José Montalvo and Dominique Hervieu continue to pay tribute to the American composer. Drawing on the rich mix of Gershwin's musical inspirations, they structure an aesthetic, historical, political and poetic vision as they travel from Broadway to Hollywood. They will recreate the positive utopia that George Gershwin promoted: only openness to others and their differences can shape an intelligent, generous perception of life...
