Adonis is a four-piece Lebanese pop/rock band known for its festive melodies and engaging Arabic lyrics. Woven around storytelling, catchy melodies and playful arrangements, the band's music is becoming a voice for today's ambitious and free-spirited Arab youth.
Formed in 2011 by architecture students and lifelong friends Anthony Khoury & Joey Abu Jawdeh, Adonis took their first steps as an online sensation with their signature track "Stouh Adonis". The band has since grown to headline major festivals, including the 2013 edition of the prominent Beirut Holidays festival, and perform at the most prestigious venues in Lebanon and the Arab world.
Following the best-selling Daw L Baladyyi (2011) & Men Shou Bteshki Beirut (2013), Adonis are now collaborating with renowned producer Jean-Marie Riachi on their third release. Due in early 2016, the eagerly anticipated album is set to leave a solid mark on the Arabic pop landscape.
Adonis has appeared on Kalam El Nass & Taratata and on the covers of Ragmag and IN Magazine.
